Is being a vegan in Italy possible?

Hello! My name is Sammy Browne and I am a 20 year old study abroad student. I currently live in Verona, Italy but grew up in San Francisco, California. My hobbies include reading, shopping, opening time with friends, and especially traveling. During the summer of 2019 I was given the amazing opportunity of studying abroad in Italy for a year. I jumped at the chance but once I started planning my move reality sunk in. I'd been vegan and mostly gluten-free all year. I knew coming to Italy realistically I would have to start eating gluten again but wondered if it was possible to still stick to my vegan diet. All the websites I visited offered different answers and all different tips. None of them seemed to know what being a vegan from America was like in Italy. This all comes to why I started this Blog. I wanted to educate any aspiring traveler or tourist about a first hand perspective of how it really is being a vegan in Italy/Europe from an Americans perspective.
